A Position leading to a PhD degree is available in the Environmental Physics Group at the Limnological Institute (University of Konstanz).
The successful candidate will study the interactions of high-frequency internal waves with the sloping boundaries of Lake Constance (Bodensee). Research will involve a characterization of the internal wave field and the quantification of turbulence and mixing generated by wave breaking along the boundaries.
Interest in field work and a strong background in physics and mathematics is required.
This is a three-year position and salary is according to TV-L 13 (50%).
