Germany: PhD Studentships in Bioinformatics - University of Regensburg

The Bioinformatics Group in the Institute for Functional Genomics at the University of Regensburg invites applications for a:

PhD Student Position (BAT II a/2) in Bioinformatics

The focus of research will be the investigation of novel methods for reconstructing signalling networks and the diagnosis of disrupted signalling pathways in tumors using microarray data.

A suitable applicant will have a diploma or master degree in Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, or Engineering. Expertise in Machine Learning is advantageous. Knowledge in genetics and medicine is not required, however candidates should have a strong interest in working in an interdisciplinary framework.

The position is limited to 2 years.
