PhD scholarships at the DTU Informatics in the Autumn of 2008

The subject of the PhD thesis must be within one of the main research areas of the institute:

Scientific computing
Mathematical statistics
Image Processing and Computer Graphics
Intelligent Signal Processing
System-on-chip
Systems Security
Language Based Technology
Software Engineering
Algorithms and Logic
Embedded Systems
Communication and Information Technology
Candidates should have a master’s degree in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master’s degree in engineering.


The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in the DTU PhD programme for Mathematics, Physics and Informatics.

Information about the general requirements for enrolment and the general planning of the scholarship studies is included in the general rules of DTU, which may be obtained by application to the PhD programme office at tel: +45 45 25 11 76 or +45 45 25 11 77 or (in Danish) on http://www.dtu.dk/Uddannelse/Phd_studerende/Phd-vejledningen.aspx#u1 The applications must be submitted in collaboration with a potential supervisor. The student is responsible for contacting a potential supervisor and asking for an endorsement.

The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for PhD degree students. The positions are available for 3 years.

Applications must include a curriculum vitae and documentation of a completed master’s degree. Application form, and Evaluation form (in Danish), must be submitted.
