Pre-selection Announcement for Foreign Students

Pre-selection has begun for foreign students applying for a position in a Doctoral program at Tor Vergata. Foreign citizens who plan to apply to a Doctoral program must submit the pre-selection application form available online at: http://dottorati.uniroma2.it/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=273&Itemid=136

Foreign students must complete this form online. They must also submit the following documents by March 30, 2008:

• Cirriculum vitae
• Research proposal
• List of publications

In addition, they must supply the names of two recommenders by completing the form available online at: http://dottorati.uniroma2.it/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=273&Itemid=136

The Graduate School will contact recommenders and ask them to provide a letter of recommendation.

Foreign candidates whose application has been accepted will then be invited to take part in a Skype interview with a professor from their desired program of study.

By May 20, 2008 the Graduate School will publish the examination schedule and the list of accepted candidates online at the following address:

The students who participated in the Skype meeting will be informed by email about the final award decisions.

Candidates whose undergraduate degree has not yet been recognized as equivalent to an Italian degree must send a proof of value (“dichiarazione di valore” ), obtainable from the Italian Embassy or Consulate in the country where the degree was completed. Students who fail to present this proof of value within six months of registration will be excluded from the program.

Foreign candidates who have been awarded the University Scholarship are required to attend the Italian language course scheduled from September 1, 2008 to October 30, 2008. Foreign candidates without the University Scholarship are strongly encouraged to attend this course.
