Faculty of Life Sciences (LIFE), Department of Agricultural Sciences wishes to appoint a Ph.D. fellow in processes behind the use of multi-species mixtures in organic grassland from 1st October 2007 for a 3 year period.
Job description:
With reference to the project manager, the work of the Ph.D. fellow will consist mainly of duties in connection with research and development in processes behind the use of multi-species mixtures in organic grassland.
The appointee should have qualifications within the following areas:
Plant growth and biology
Nutrient use efficiency in agroecosystems
Grassland production
Multi-species interactions
Qualification requirements:
In connection with the appointment to the post special importance will be attached to the applicant having the professional and personal qualifications stated below:
Passed a MSc degree in relation to the above subject area from an international renowned university
Emphasis will be placed on the candidate?s research potential and commitment.
Experience with empirical project work.
Enterprising and possessing good interpersonal skills
Terms of employment:
The post will be filled according to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The post is covered by the Protocol on Job Structure.
The position as Ph.D. fellow requires the applicant to be approved for admission to the Ph.D. programme at LIFE when accepted for the post.
The PhD fellow will be attached to the Research School for Organic Agriculture and Food Systems (SOAR). It is the aim of SOAR to strengthen and to increase the scientific level in research of relevance for organic agriculture. More information is available at: www.soar.dk
