Applications are encouraged for a 4-year Ph D position focusing on temporal and spatial variations of persistent pharmaceutical residues in surface waters and their accumulation in sediments. The project includes field studies close to Uppsala and laboratory studies in Uppsala, Umeå and Åbo. The project includes exchange with researchers at Umeå University and at Åbo Academy and short visits are envisaged.
We seek for a dedicated candidate with a degree in ecotoxicology/environmental chemistry/aquatic ecology or other relevant subjects. Good knowledge about pharmaceuticals is desirable and the ability to publish in English is meriting. The starting date is negotiable, but preferably August 1, 2007.
