Graduate Student Assistantship, Plankton Ecology

Graduate student research assistantships (M.S. or Ph.D.) for motivated students are available in Aquatic Ecology at Texas A&M University – College Station starting in the summer or September, 2009. Students interested in ecohydrology as it relates to plankton ecology, including harmful algal blooms and other water quality issues, in lakes of Texas should apply.

The student’s committee will be chaired by Dr. Daniel Roelke (http://wfsc.tamu.edu/roelkelab). Applicants should be independent, self-motivated, and should have demonstrated academic excellence and field experience. B.S. in biology, ecology, zoology, wildlife biology, or related fields are required.

Salary: ~$18,500/yr and resident tuition rates apply for all assistantships.
